Meet Dr. Michael Cusack
Excelling in Dentistry
Dr. Michael Cusack was raised in the Midwest as an avid outdoorsman. He followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a dentist in 2007 after graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He has practiced dentistry, first in Illinois, then in Colorado, for the past 18 years.
During this time, he has advanced his professional qualifications with further training in periodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, facial esthetics, and implant dentistry. In addition, he commissioned into the United States Navy as a Reserve Officer in 2023, continuing the Junction Creek Family Dentistry tradition of Navy dentists initiated by Drs. Dean Brown and John Hening. He currently serves at the Navy Reserve Center in Albuquerque and is also assigned to MCRD San Diego, the U.S. Marine Corps training center.
Dr. Cusack loves living in Durango, as does his wife Katherine and their two children. Together, they spend any minute not at the office, outside enjoying the four courners to the fullest.
