Meet Dr. Maria Pilar “Pili” Peters
Providing Compassionate Care
Dr. Maria Pilar "Pili" Peters is thrilled to join Junction Creek Family Dentistry as an associate dentist. Originally from Bahía Blanca, Argentina, Dr. Peters began her dental career there in 2014. After moving to Durango in 2016 to support her husband's career at Fort Lewis College, she worked in the dental field locally while pursuing validation of her degree in the U.S. She is proud to be a 2025 graduate of the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois.
Dr. Peters is committed to compassionate, comfortable care for her patients. Her globally-minded approach to dentistry has been shaped by dental mission work in Argentina and Tonga, and prioritizes dentistry as a powerful tool for helping communities.
Outside the office, Dr. Peters is always up for an adventure. Whether sailing, a skill she taught in Argentina, or teaching ski school at the local mountain, she embraces every opportunity to be active. She and her husband Jake share a love for climbing, hiking, skiing, and standup paddleboarding throughout the Four Corners region.
Passionate about both people and place, Dr. Peters is excited to continue serving the Durango community with care, empathy, and enthusiasm.
